I just found out about Steve’s passing. It has been many many years since I’ve seen him. Yet, my heart skipped a beat. Steve gave me my first PR job out of college at his then Indianapolis and Chicago offices. He taught me the art of the profession. His crazy ideas and off-beat creativity so often yielded such genius in his work. My heartfelt, albeit belated, condolences to his loving family.

So sorry to hear the news and my deepest condolences to Linda and the rest of the family. I first met Steve when I moved to the Chicago area in 1977. Steve and I enjoyed many dinners, lunches and business meetings together. We shared clients as well as many mutual friends. The last time I saw Steve was lunch at Wildfire a few years ago. He touched a lot of people, clients and associates and all of us owe him a sense of gratitude for his giving and caring sense of being.
